For the past couple of weeks, since completing the Colorado Trail, we’ve been enjoying Flagstaff, AZ where we’ve had a home for almost 10 years (although we haven’t lived here for over 7 years).
It’s a great town to come back to, with tons of hiking & biking trails and we’ve seen a surprising amount of wildlife including deer, coyote, elk, lizards, horny toads and snakes.
We found these young Greater Short-horned Lizards (Phrynosoma hernandesi) in our backyard
A beautiful Sonoran Mountain Kingsnake, Lampropeltis pyromelana, which we’ve been lucky enough to see twice while walking the trails behind our house.
We’re off into the Grand Canyon for a few days this weekend, so click subscribe if you haven’t already and follow along on our adventures.
