A couple of nights in Escalante, Utah

In our last few blog posts, you found us exploring Bryce Canyon National Park and Kodachrome Basin State Park and in this post, we head East to Escalante; this town is in Garfield County, Utah located along Utah Scenic Byway 12 in the south central part of the state.

The bike ride from Kodachrome Basin State Park to our 2 night stop at Escalante Outfitters was only about 34 miles but, the climb was pretty severe with grades of up to 14%!
