Did you have someone renting your home, while you were on the road?

We got this question a lot when we were traveling …. Perhaps if we were still in our 20’s we wouldn’t get this so much. But folks look at us, our age etc. and assume we are homeowners and wouldn’t dream of living full-time in a 23 ft RV.

Not a completely incorrect assumption but, prior to leaving FL and hitting the road in April 2017, we were in fact renting a home and simply planned our departure date around vacating said rental property (per lease dates) and working closely with the awesome property owner.

And as far as small living spaces go, most people would be surprised at how little indoor space one actually needs …. Heck, tiny homes are the hippest things around these days and any kind of camping vehicle certainly counts as a tiny home.

If you happen to have a home you love and it’s not the time or place to contemplate selling said home, then renting out the property while you are adventuring is going to be the way to go. You don’t want to have to worry about too many costs at home (such as a mortgage payment with no rental income to offset it) while you are living it up somewhere else.

So, comment below with any other questions you have about the what’s, how’s and why’s of what we did from April 2017 – April 2018 (although if you stick with us and our blog, the why’s will be answered and forever silenced)?
